Title: Configure Voxbeam
Post by: Hortoristic on March 28, 2012, 09:00:35 AM
Voxbeam not being too helpful - can someone walk me through how to configure SP2 for Voxbeam as it's not in the setup wizard.

I have VB on a VGx, so I'm not sure that this is correct:

(ITSP Profile B settings)
STUNEnable: checked
STUNServer: (a working STUN server)
ProxyServer: sbc.voxbeam.com

(SP2 Service settings)
X_ServProvProfile: B
X_RegisterEnable: unchecked
AuthUserName: (desired caller ID when not spoofing)
AuthPassword: (anything)

Depending on your router, you may have to forward the RTP port range.

If you have trouble, report details of failure (Does called phone ring? SIP error code, if any? Signaling work correctly? Audio in either direction?)

Hortoristic,

Have you configured Voxbeam with your OBi's public IP address?

I'm at work at moment - is that an option when registering at VB?  And if so is one approach better than another?

I believe Voxbeam will only communicate with a SIP client whose IP address is configured in your Voxbeam account settings.

From Voxbeam's web page:

Authentication

Authenticating your calls with Voxbeam couldn't be simpler; all that we need to know is the IP address(es) that you'll be sending calls from. You can add and remove IP addresses at any time using your Voxbeam account's settings page.

How do I know what STUNServer: (a working STUN server) - is?

I find stun.ideasip.com reliable.  If you Google STUN SERVER, you'll find many.  You can use any.

do I need to use same user/pass that I use to log into VB?  Do I need URI?

Since Voxbeam doesn't use SIP Registration, it would probably be better to configure Voxbeam on a Voice Gateway, saving SP2 for a SIP service provider that does use SIP registration:

Voice Services -> Gateways and Trunk Groups -> Voice Gateway3
Name : Voxbeam
AccessNumber : sbc.voxbeam.com
DigitMap : (<ppppppp>(<1aaa>[2-9]xxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|<011:>xx.))
AuthUserID : (CallerID)

where ppppppp is 0011103 for standard routes and 0011101 for premium routes, and aaa is your local area code.

If you don't have a SIP provider configured on SP2, configure SP2 as follows:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> ProxyServer : 127.0.0.1

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_RegisterEnable : (unchecked)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthUserName : (put anything here)

Voice Gateway3 can then be integrated as service route access code **3:

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> DigitMap:

([1-9]x?*(Mpli)|[1-9]S9|[1-9][0-9]S9|911|**0|***|#|**1(Msp1)|**2(Msp2)|**3(Mvg3)|
**8(Mli)|**9(Mpp)|(Mpli))

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> OutboundCallRoute:

{([1-9]x?*(Mpli)):pp},{(<#:>|911):li},{**0:aa},{***:aa2},{(<**1:>(Msp1)):sp1},{(<**2:>(Msp2)):sp2},
{(<**3:>(Mvg3)):vg3},{(<**8:>(Mli)):li},{(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp},{(Mpli):pli}
