Title: Incoming landline call goes unanswered?
Post by: ChrisJ on March 28, 2012, 07:00:16 PM
Hi,

I have Google Voice on SP1 and I want to keep my landline.  If I am on a Google Voice call, is there a way to setup my OBI110 so that an incoming call on my PSTN landline will either get a busy signal, or be forwarded to google voicemail or my cell phone if I choose not to answer it?

You could disable Call Waiting in the OBi and have incoming LINE Port calls Call Forward on Busy.  Forwarding to your cell phone is not a problem, but you would have to have a second Google Voice account to use for forwarding to your current Google Voice number as calling your own Google Voice number checks your voicemail.

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> CallWaitingEnable : (unchecked)

Physical Interfaces -> LINE Port -> CallForwardOnBusyEnable : (checked)
Physical Interfaces -> LINE Port -> CallForwardOnBusyNumber : SPx(12341234567)

where SPx (SP1 or SP2) is the service provider to use for forwarding and 12341234567 is the number to forward to.

That works perfect. Thanks!
