Title: OBI110 stuck in orange blinking mode, not booting up
Post by: rockydang on April 18, 2012, 11:19:56 PM
Hi,

My OBI110 is stuck in the "orange blinking mode", look like it not even booting up.  What can I do?  I bought this device a few month ago and only use it for a few weeks.  Then it stuck in this mode, can I request for a replacement? or upgrade?

Thanks,

Vu

Try resetting the unit.

Unplug the power
Hold the reset button with a paper clip in the hole on the bottom of the unit
While holding the reset button with the paper clip, reconnect the power
Continue holding the reset button until the unit resets (20 - 40 seconds).

also check the voltage of the power adapter....should be 12 V +/- a bit...and although labeled as 12V, mine was 19V (19.7V open load) so the device is seriously overheating and won't boot properly.  It can/will work for a while but its not good.

You can not accurately check the voltage of a DC power supply without a load on it. Unlike a battery, it will always be high.
