Title: Is it possible to specify an IP range in X_AccessList?
Post by: tmicom on May 30, 2012, 06:24:02 PM
I would like to block all incoming calls other than those originating from my provider (CallCentric).

CallCentric specifies the following IP range for this purpose:
204.11.192.0/22 OR 204.11.192.0 - 204.11.195.255

Do I have to enter 204.11.192.0,204.11.192.1,204.11.192.2,... into the list?
If so, it would be great if the firmware could be rewritten to accommodate a range as noted above.

It would be nice to eliminate once and for all the ringing at 3am.

If the value of X_UserAgentPort is 5060, that's likely your problem.  Change it to 5070 or some obscure value and your nuisance calls should go away.  If you needed to forward UDP port 5060 in your router, forward the new port number instead.

Thank you Stewart.  I changed the port and tested.  Incoming works just fine.  I will see if that puts an end to the scanners ringing in.  Too many things that go beep in the night...
