Title: Google voice install problem - authentication and 2 step verification
Post by: extesnion23 on March 16, 2011, 08:21:30 PM
I struggled with this for about 20 minutes before I realized what was wrong so I am posting this to hopefully save others a little time.

For anyone that has enabled 2 step verification on their gmail, you will want to make sure you go into your google account settings and create an application specific password or else your authentication using your normal password will fail.  You can do this by choosing the "authorizing applications and sites" link on the google account settings page.

This will probably be obvious to other people who have already set up 2 step authorization, unless you are like me and set it up a while ago and have had everything working smoothly and forget about having to do this step with things that need access to your gmail account.

Once I figured that out the install was extremely smooth.
