Title: Calling Obi100 from cell to save on long distance
Post by: Cybernet on August 30, 2012, 11:10:54 AM
This has probably already been answered but ill ask any ways. What I want to do is call my OBI100 from my cell phone, and dial in the long distance number I want to call, have it go through the OBI100 so there is no long distance to the cell phone. I'm not sure what this is called or if its possible but hoping. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys, Cheers.

Change Voice Services > SP1 Service > X_InboundCallRoute To: {(12223334444):aa},{ph}
Where 12223334444 is the CallerID of your cell phone.

Set Voice Services > Auto Attendant > Primary Line to the service (SP1 or SP2) you want to use for the outbound call.

Call your SP1 service. When The Auto Attendant answers, dial:
2 (the outbound number) #

If the service you call is the same as the service you use for the outbound call, it must support 2 simultaneous calls.
GV will support 2 simultaneous calls.

How will this save you from using your minutes?  Or are you just doing this to call Canada for free or international calls?
