Title: ITSP DigitMap vs Phone DigitMap vs Phone OutboundCallRoute
Post by: bluesclues9 on March 19, 2011, 10:44:32 AM
What is difference between these 3 differents dialplans?

I am not sure when to use what. Can someone explain this?

I think ITSP manages routing of calls to SP1 or SP2 using Msp1 or Msp2 setting in the digitmap. Am I correct?
If yes, what is the siginificance of the other two?

When you enter a number to dial from your phone, a DigitMap Processor (DMP) uses the PHONE Port Digitmap to (possibly) reformat it and then determine the best match available.  The ITSPA and ITSPB DigitMap's are part of the PHONE Port DigitMap via indirection [(Msp1), (Msp2), and possibly (Mpli)].  Then the result from the DMP is passed through the OutboundCallRoute, one route at a time from left to right, looking for the first route that matches.  When a suitable route is found, that port is used for the call.
