Title: Inbound GV calls go to voicemail
Post by: spazlon on September 12, 2012, 06:56:00 AM
Hello,

I have set up my obi 110 according to the instructions in the FAQ, but I still have a problem. My outbound calls work just fine, but I never receive any inbound calls. The caller just gets my GV voicemail prompt and that's it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Is the Google Chat listed as a forwarding phone on your google voice page?
-If yes, is there a check mark in front of it.
-If no, did you complete the process at gmail and make one successful call from within gmail?
If yes, make sure you do not have anything else running that uses the Google Chat interface. This would include, Talkatone, GrooveIp, and even GMail.

Do the calls go to VM immediately or after the 25 seconds of ringing.

Yes, Google Chat is listed (and checked) as forwarding on the GV settings page.

I also changed my password so no other service could possibly be logged in.

The calls go directly to VM, no waiting.

If the calls go directly to voicemail then the problem is at google voice, not the Obi.

Check that do not disturb is not enabled under the "Calls" settings.
Make sure there is not a custom ring schedule set under the advanced settings for your Google Chat forwarding phone.

If the other phone in your forwarding phones list checked? Is not, check it and uncheck Google Chat and see if the call is forwarded.
