Title: Help setting up with CIA/3WEB/distributel
Post by: campigenus@gmail.com on October 04, 2012, 03:05:59 PM
I tried this a year ago or so ... not successful and had to drop it for a while. I am back and willing to try again.

I am stuck with CIA/3WEB/Distributel - long story.

While the don't offer an awful service, their support is, basically, nonexistent. Even so, I managed to get my old PAP2 and currently an SPA-2102 to work OK. No such luck with my new OBi202.(Previously I had tried with a Obi100.)

The message I get is "Register Failed:Register Failed: No Response From Server (server=208.68.17.30:5060; retrying)"

The server is accessible, and, as I said, if I unplug the OBi and plug the PAPT all is well.

Ask for any additional info, and I'll be happy to provide it. I have the provisioning file sent to my SPA-2102, which I would be happy to upload if anyone thinks it would help.

Thanks.

I looked at the links that I sent you from DSLREPORTS. You might be able to figure out the equivalent settings on your own. It seems many of the terms are similar. Most of the other settings I suspect are standard and wont need to be changed. Have a look at what I sent you and get inspired.

Post back.

That's some of the info I used to set up my PAP2 and SPA-2102. Basically, they only support the SPA-2102 as a router, and I wanted to use it, or the PAP2, behind my router. So, at that time I scoured the web for info ... I found it ... success. With the Obi devices, being that they are newer and, supposedly, smarter, I thought it would be even easier. Sadly, not so.

Show us your current OBi settings.

Sure, how do I dump a list of the settings?

I am not familiar with this service, however from what I have read it seems possible that 3web is looking for the original mac address. Since the OBi 202 can not clone that mac, you may have to inquire if you can supply a new mac address.

See this: "Submit mac address for voice terminal"

You need to manually copy/paste all the changes you made to the default values.

I see ... I just reset everything and will need to start from 0. It could well be it's a "user agent" issue??? As soon as I figure out what my SPA sends as an user agent, will give it another go.

Thanks for your suggestions and help so far.

Maybe I am blind, but I can't seen to find the place in the OBi config where I can change NAT settings.

I am looking for the equivalent of:

Handle VIA recieved YES
Substitute VIA Addr YES
STUN Enable YES
STUN Server stunserver.org
NAT Mapping Enable YES
NAT Keepalive Enable YES
SIP Proxy-Require: $PROXY

Thanks, y'all.

I am still stumped here. I have been working with the OBi support people as well, to no avail.

I registered the OBi MAC with the 3WEB system and the provisioning file gets pulled ... contains same data as before.

Linksys ATA continues working even though its MAC address is no longer registered, which tells me that the MAC info if not passed as part of the authentication process, just the name/password.

Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
