Title: How to setup simultaneous ringing
Post by: david82 on October 13, 2012, 09:55:59 AM
This is probably really easy to setup but I can't information/ directions anywhere on how to do this. I'd like a call to come into the phone connected to the Obi device and ring my cell phone # at the same time. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

This is called "forking".
You don't fork calls that come into the phone port, you fork calls that come in on each individual service, SP1, SP2, Line, Obitalk etc.

Go to the service you want to fork calls from and add your cell phone to the inbound call route.
Example:
Voice Service -> SP1 Service -> X_InboundCallRoute = {ph,(18005551212)}
it may just be   ph   now. with more than one rule you need the brackets {}

Thanks for the info. I went to the service that I want to fork calls from but how do I find the inbound call route?

I recommend using the Obi Expert Configuration; you will find it on your Obitlak dashboard.
