Title: Don't want Obi phone to ring with Google Voice
Post by: bellevuewa on October 13, 2012, 06:03:21 PM
When someone calls my google voice number, both my cellphone and obi 110 ring.  I don't want the obi 110 to ring.  I enabled "do not disturb" in SP1 configuration, but that doesn't do it.

During the day, I get calls on my cellphone, and my wife hears the also  phone ring at home.  I don't want it to ring at home.

Thanks! :)

You can make that setting on your google voice page. If you uncheck Google Chat as a forwarding phone in your phones list, the Obi will not ring. You can also set a custom ring schedule for Google Chat instead of turning it off. Click "edit" for Google Chat in the phones list to see that option.

Thanks for your help.  Such an easy fix.  Saved me hours of fiddling around!

bellevuewa,

Note; by unchecking Google Chat, no other application, such as GMail, Talkatone, GrooveIP, that uses it will receive incoming calls either.

When google chat is unchecked at google voice, you will still be able to place outgoing calls from the Obi using your google voice service.
