Hello,
Weird problem that I need help with please... Here's my setup:
OBI100 1.3.0 (Build: 2744)
SP1: Google Voice
Speed Dial 11: sp1(account@gmail.com)
If I dial from my phone 11#, the GTalk account account@gmail.com rings, we seem to connect but cannot hear each other.
If the GTalk account account@gmail.com calls me, my OBI device rings, I pick up, we connect, all works well, we can hear each other fine.
This account@gmail.com also has its own GV phone number and if I call it from my OBI device all works well again.
I have no other dialing problems from my OBI phone, I can call any phone number supported by GV, all seems to work well, except for dialing a GTalk account by its GMail email address.
Anyone else seen this? Any solutions please?
One way audio is usually NAT related. The advice contained in this FAQ might help.
OBi FAQ:
http://www.obihai.com/FAQ.html
What ports should I keep open on my router/firewall?
In order for your OBi to be able to send packets w/o interruption, please configure your router as follows:
Allow Outgoing:
TCP Ports: 6800, 5222, 5223
UDP Ports: 5060, 5061, 10000 to 11000, 16600 to 16998, 19305
Allow Incoming on UDP Port: 10000
Thanks, but it's not 1-way audio, it's no audio at all in any direction when I initiate the call by email address, while calling by phone number works fine both ways.
SIP setting on the router might be your sip alg which might need to be disabled. Uncheck it. It might be enough to fix everything.
See this somewhat related thread:

I do not have SIP ALG enabled and I tried port forwarding just for kicks, it still doesn't work in that 1 case.
Is anyone else able to call a GTalk user by using the email address?
dhobi,
Yes. Have a look here for details.
So what is unique about the OBion app vs using the Google Talk client?
