Title: audio codecs are different between outincoming calls and incoming calls
Post by: roberthuang on January 06, 2013, 06:07:15 PM
I am using obi202. The audio codecs are set at the default value. One thing I noticed that audio codecs are different between outincoming calls and incoming calls. The outgoing calls(both tx and rx) are always using G711U, and the incoming calls(both tx and rx) are always using G729. I'd like to set both of them to always use G711U just like my old Sipura2002 but I couldn't find the right place to do that. Please help. Thanks a lot.

i know the original post is over 6months old but came across while looking for something else.
So for whatever is worth ...

You can control which codecs can be included by going to:

Codecs->Codec profiles and then enable/disable whatever you like.

Notice though that the codec profile you modify should be the one used by the voice service. This
is configured through:

Voice services -> SPx service -> X_CodecProfile
