Title: OBi100 Kills my wifi when in use
Post by: nickz on January 10, 2013, 08:11:58 PM
I have OBi100 setup with TP-Link tl-wr1043nd router. Recently, whenever I use the phone to make or receive calls, I lost WIFI connection from the router. As soon as I hang up, the wifi comes back. The wired connection from the router is still good. Just the WIFI part. Any idea what's going on?

My only guess would be interference from a wireless phone.  If I am correct in my assumption a cordless phone is causing the situation then I would recommend trying a corded phone to see if the problem still occurs.

If a cordless phone is the culprit moving the base station away from the wifi router may fix it.

If in fact a cordless phone, you could also try changing the WiFi channel in the router.
The default is often 6, but you could try 1 or 12 to see if it helps.
