Title: routing calls through a toll free number
Post by: Mike2012 on February 15, 2013, 12:50:03 PM

Is it possible to configure obi110 to do the following-

When someone dials an international number (starting with 011), route it through a toll free number. For example, if I dial 01191116753342 using a phone connected to obitalk, obitalk should dial 18666542234 using google voice, then wait 2 seconds, then dial 01191116753342 followed by #. The number 18666542234 will be same for all calls.
Can I set this up using Obi expert config?

No it can not automatically dial additional digits after the initial sip Invite is sent to the distant location.  The OBi (and other ata's for that matter) were not designed to do that.

Of course you can manually dial the additional digits thru the phone keypad during the in-progress call.

Some analog phones (that you could attach to the OBi) are designed to allow you to configure a pause in the dialing as you describe.

Is it possible to store numbers in speed dial setting in obitalk like the following-

If I map speed dial 5 to 18666542234,01191116753342#

Then when I dial 5# from phone, obitalk should dial 18666542234, wait for 2 seconds, then dial 01191116753342# ?

Mike2012,

You asked the same question - can OBi "wait for 2 seconds"? hwittenb's answer still applies: OBi "can not automatically dial additional digits after the initial sip Invite is sent to the distant location"

My daughter often doesn't like my answers, and tries to rephrase the question in hopes of getting a better one ;)
