Title: Rookie question about dashboard
Post by: PCLarry on February 20, 2013, 08:55:54 PM
In my OBI 'dashboard', I have 2 endpoints.
One is called 'soft phone', and the other is OBi110.

The OBi110 'device number' matches my hardware.
The 'soft phone' device uses another 'device number' that I do not recognize.

Finally, the icon associated with the OBi110 is green, while the other is brownish.

What is the 'soft phone' device, and how do I fix the non green icon?

Thanks for any input.

PCLarry,

Everything looks normal! When you set up your account the softphone number is automatically allocated, then you added your OBi device to that account.

The softphone number is the number used by OBiON if you install that on your cell phone. Also, it is used by OBiAPP if you set up a softphone on your PC.

The icon remains orange until OBiON or OBiAPP is logged in using your account details, then it will change to green.

Ianobi,

Thank you for that clarification.

I have been trying to troubleshoot an audio feedback issue on received calls from the PTSN line, and am grabbing at straws trying to resolve it.

Close as I can tell, based upon my hours scouring the forum and G00gle, it appears to be an impedance mismatch.

However, I cannot seem to find the proper impedance for my phone system (verizon) to match it with the OBi110.

Again, thank you for your valuable information.
