Title: preventing hacking attack from internet

What is the best way to prevent hackers from accesssing my 202?  can i turn off internet access so that any admin has to be done while being physically connected to my router at home?

I don't have a 202, but there are a few things that you can do on your router.

First, make sure the 202 is behind the router. 

Second, change the password for your router so people can't get into it.  Same for the 202.

Third, check your router settings page by page.  Make sure  you don't disable things like DoS protection, or enable things like DMZ. 

Fourth, make sure if you're using a wireless router that your network is setup with the highest level of security that you can, usually WPA2-PSK or higher.  Use a complex passphrase.  And setup a Guest network, with a password, for guests.  This is especially important if you live in a high density area where networks are widely visible.

Finally, go to www.grc.com and run ShieldsUp! on all  your ports after running the Unplug N Play test.
