Title: Call waiting not working with gvoice + callcentric
Post by: rihc55 on March 11, 2013, 11:38:23 AM
Hey everyone, I recently made the switch to OBi from my local cable company for phone service.

My current setup is:

SP1: GoogleVoice
SP2: CallCentric

I used the guide on this forum to set up CallCentric for CNAM and E911.

My Obi 110 is connected to a wall jack near our router. The phone/answering machine is in another room.  Normally the answering machine picks up before GV does as intended.

Using our old phone service, if the phone was in use, and someone else called, we'd get the standard call waiting beep and we would see the call waiting ID.

Now, if someone calls, the phone rings for them for the 25 seconds prescribed by GV and then it goes to GV voicemail. Our phones don't alert us that someone else tried to call.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you all can provide.

Solved. I found the solution by reading the thread about disabling call waiting completely.
