Title: Has anyone been about to setup OBi202 with Polycom IP320?
Post by: boterea on March 26, 2013, 08:22:17 AM
I have to Google Voice accounts working on analog, but want to add a Polycom IP320. I'm hoping someone can share how this is done.

I need help on this too. Were you able to get yours to work yet?

Seriously.   I have a Polycom IP550 and I bet that this is an identical setup.  They are the experts of their products and they could easily get a polycom phone, figure this out and then publish it.

 ???

I just purchased an Obi-202 after talking with Support last week that it could act as a GV proxy for an standard SIP phone.  They cited the example on their blog (noted above) and it seemed easy enough.  Got the 202 to work great on the analog side, but still struggling with it as a proxy for my SIP phone.  I also have a Polycom IP 550 (which is more likely to be found in the general Consumer/Prosumer market over a Cisco IPT handset).

I called Support again, hoping they would take the 5 minutes with me, but was referred to this forum and asked to send an email.  Very frustrating.  I offered to ship them my polycom 550 for them to have as a reference (that's how exciting I am about their product), but my enthusiasm was not met in return.

Good thing Amazon has a great return policy, but hey you never know they might actually read these posts and the email I will send to support and call me back to accept my offer to lend them my Polycom.

This is disappointing, I have been able to get the phone to accept phone calls from GV, the caller ID shows the CallerNumber@the.ip.address, but it will not dial outbound, I get a busy signal, or dead air pending which port I use.

I followed the same articles from the comments of another post, the blog and now im so close, yet still so far :/
Any ideas?

Try this, it is a GV SIP converter and gives you CID. I used the free version forever and happily paid $5.99 for new version.
