Title: Can I use my SIP phone with obi110 connected to POTS?
Post by: stiggs on April 08, 2013, 09:04:01 AM
HI there,

I just cancelled my VOIP service and went with POTS.  I have a VOIP phone that I still want to use and was wondering if there's any way to route it through the obi110 and into the PSTN.  I've connected my phone cord to the obi Line port, but I'm not sure where to go from here.  Any ideas?  Is this even possible?

SIP PHONE --> OBi110 --> PSTN (Line port)

You might be able to make it work depending on the ip phone and its configuration capabilities.  You would attach both to a local router and go over your local ethernet network to talk between the ip phone and the OBi110.  Something like this thread substituting the ip phone for the OBi100.
