Hey Gang, can someone give me a start on troubleshooting?
I've had Obi202 for a few weeks using Google Voice and all of a sudden I get poor call quality. Mostly there person on the other end complain that I'm breaking up. One said I sounded like a robot. I can hear them no problem.
My upload speed is 2mps Downlaod 20mps
The obi202 is connected to the network with the Wifi adapter - good signal. Using Wep2.
Nothing else has changed on my end.
I do not understand how to confirgure the router based on the follwoing FAQ. My router is asking for start, end and target. I dont understand the numbers listed below.
What ports should I keep open on my router/firewall?
In order for your OBi to be able to send packets w/o interruption, please configure your router as follows:
Allow Outgoing:
TCP Ports: 6800, 5222, 5223
UDP Ports: 5060, 5061, 10000 to 11000, 16600 to 16998, 19305
Allow Incoming on UDP Port: 10000
I cannot get QoS setup as my router has been flashed with Mediacom Cable's own GUI on the router/modem/wifi box.
Any help would be appreciated!
I also wanted to ask, should the obi202 be set up as a bridge to my router?
I am not connecting any PC's to the 202.
For testing, try turning off all of your computers. Do calls improve a lot?
Don't bother trying to set the OBi for bridging.
Well there are a number of tests here that may prove of some value.

If you can make and receive calls and have 2-way audio, the ports must already be open.
Unfortunately, voice quality depends on line quality as well as speed.
Jitter can cause packet loss (because the packets arrive out of sync).
Check for postings on how to check for jitter or packet loss.
