Title: Obi100-Simple dial plan
Post by: Connex on April 29, 2013, 07:41:22 PM
Hi,
I`m new to Obi. I used to own a CISCO SPA3102. I had two voip providers and a dial plan that
It`s possible using a Obi100 to have a simple dial plan that would allow to dial local numbers on one provider and 011 number on the second sip provider?
I set-up SP1 for local number and SP2 for international long distance.

This is the SPA3102 dial plan that I was using in the past:
(911|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.|[2-9]xxxxxxxxxSO|1800xxx.|1822xxx.|1833xxx.|1844xxx.|1855xxx.|1866xxx.|1877xxx.|1880xxx.|1881xxx.|1882xxx.|1888xxx.|1xxxxxxxxxx<:@GW1>|011xxxxx.<:@GW1>|001xxxx.<:@GW1>)

it is possible to replicate this on Ob100. So far I had no success.Do I always have to dial **2 to access the second SIP provider ? How can I set up the dialplan so if I start dialling any number with 011 to automatically choose sp2?

Thank you,

As you discovered the OBi dial plan is a lot more complicated than the Cisco/Linksys plan. The "dial plan" consists of both the DigitMap and the OutboundCallRoute and then it also goes off to DigitMaps in other places.

I would setup the Phone Port PrimaryLine as SP1 and then using the default PhonePort DigitMap append a **2 to any dialed number that starts with 011.  Setup this element near the front of the Phone Port DigitMap like this
|<**2>011xx.|
Then calls will get routed the way you wish and the OutboundCallRoute will strip off the **2 before it is sent to your voip provider.
