Title: Home 1001
Post by: DashQuark on May 04, 2013, 07:09:31 AM
I keep getting calls from "Home 1001". I can not figure out where they are coming from. No one answers so it makes no sense to get these calls.  I use google voice and the call does not show up in my caller history.

I see this in the call log on my obi
From '1001' SP1(1001)   To PH1

Is this coming from my obi number? Is there a way to block Obi calls?

It is possible that the SIP scanner is hitting a port (SP)  that is not configured for GV.

See http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0 method 0 for your non-GV port(s).

I'm guessing that in this case GV is set up on sp1 and the sip scanners are still getting through on sp1. Although GV does not use SIP, at default the X_UserAgentPort for sp1 is still set to 5060. I'm guessing that a sip scanner scanning ipaddress:5060 will still get through even if sp1 is set up for GV.

I don't use GV myself, but lots here do. Maybe others can comment if they have been scanned on spX's set up for GV.

If you are using GV, then you could set the X_UserAgentPort to 0 as GV does not use it.

Thanks for the input and link. That looks like the issue.
