What is the difference between setting up a phone provider as SP2 on my first endpoint v. setting up a second endpoint?

Look at the OBI dashboard.  It says "endpoint."

A different OBi would require a different Obi box which could be in a different place. It would use a different phone instrument.

A soft phone goes on a computer. http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=905.0 You don't read much in the way of positive posts on that.
