Title: gtalk problems
Post by: joefly on April 08, 2011, 01:20:40 PM
OK, I figured out that someone on gmail/gtalk can call me using my gmail/gtalk id, and I can call them back using speed dial with their gmail address. When I call from gmail/gtalk into my obi, the sound is fine, but when I call the gtalk user from my obi, it connects but there is no sound either way.  All other functions seem to be working properly.  Any ideas?

If you haven't already... try setting up port forwarding and your codec.

I port forwarded 5060-5061 and 16600-16998 TCP and UDP to my obi and set the codec to only allow G711U and it's been rock solid for a month now. Prior to that I had one-way voice or no voice.

@usmclss: GoogleChat does not use SIP. it uses XMPP. Google Chat client in Obi does not use ports specified as part of your profile(its applicable only for SIP).
