Title: Can I have two OBi100 devices
Post by: Scott216 on August 21, 2013, 05:44:10 AM
Can I have two OBi100 devices on one Google Voice account.  The OBi100s would be in different locations.  I'm okay if the phones ring at both locations when someone calls me.

The easy way is to have separate GV accounts.

I think it is possible to have one OBi ring the other when a call comes in, and to pass calls through the first OBi for going out. More work, and more to go wrong. That may be OK with you because you can have both ends ring I think. I don't know how to implement that offhand.

There are people who will have 2 locations set to the same GV account not in use at the same time, and disable one and enable the other with OBiTalk.

I'd rather just have one GV account.  It's kind of a pain to create another, then I need to associate it with a physical phone during setup.  For the 2nd location, I really only need to make outgoing calls.  Does that simplify things?

Here's one way to do it - if you are happy to dive into digitmaps etc:
