Title: Forcing Audio Codec
Post by: Hortoristic on September 11, 2013, 01:11:38 PM
Is there any way to force what audio codec(s) to use?

Below is what CC audio codec used during a call:
tx=G711U; rx=G711U (bridged)

I think I heard if when using a mobile device, the best codec to use was G729

Log in to OBI Talk Expert configuration, look for Codecs==> Codec Profile B===> Enable only the codec you want to use. Save. Then go to SPx you want to configure, look for X_CodecProfile and choose Profile B.

You can use star codes for two of the codecs:
*4711, Use G711 Only on the next outbound call
*4729, Use G729 Only on the next outbound call
