Title: Can OBI send outbound calls to PSTN when not registered?
Post by: ProfTech on April 16, 2011, 08:04:55 PM
I have read the admin guide for the 110 and I saw a note that said there is a relay that connects the PSTN to the phone when the 110 is powered off. That answers my first question. My second question is can the 110 be configured so that if registration is lost [network goes down, etc] and I pick up the phone to make a call it will send the call to the PSTN? I realize the dial plan might need to be adjusted to make this work.

Thanks

ProfTech,

Hi

When network is down, you can make outgoing calls by pressing "#" before your calling number. "#" will give you PSTN dial tone. This call will then go out the PSTN line. No network = no sip accts registered or GV accts connected. You can also unplug the adapter while the network is down and just dial normally without dialing the "#".
