Hello, I followed the instructions, I have a gmail account. When I went to settings, phone
to change the Google Voice settings "Forwards calls to:", " ..., but not Chat to check off. Any ideas? Thanks

Did you successfully make an outgoing telephone call from your associated Gmail account?

is the gmail account and the google voice account associated with the same google account? (do you sing into both with the same credentials)
