Title: Obi202 Code31 *27 "run OBIWIFI as Access Point"
Post by: mrjoe on December 12, 2013, 02:25:02 PM
Does anyone know what this is used for?  I have an ObiWifi but haven't yet used it.  Wondering if this is some new feature.

Looks like you should be able to dial a *27 and turn the OBiWiFi adapter into an access point as opposed to a client.

Rather strange to put a config like that as a star code instead of with the other config options under *** (aa2).

I don't have the OBiWiFi (silly price for a weak wifi dongle) or I'd try it...

If you do not like it being *27 you should be able to change it in the star codes profile (A or B) for the respective phone port.

It is I know, I got mine for $15.  Would this broadcast Internet like a Mifi or wireless router?

It's unlikely that it could broadcast your phones internet connection if that is what you mean.  I'll play around with it.
