Title: Connecting Obihai202 to Corporate VoIP System - Cisco Callmanager
Post by: kkroggy on March 03, 2014, 11:02:40 AM
My company has Cisco Callmanagers deployed in the corporate and remote offices.  I have a phone number assigned but no desk.  They gave me a Cisco Soft Phone (Cisco IP Communicator) to utilize from my laptop, remotely.  I have TFTP and user settings, but not sure if it will work as an ITSP.  I've tried a couple different configs, but it would be great if someone already got this working, to share the details.

The Soft Phone is linked to my PC MAC address.  I did give them the MAC of the Obihai, but not sure if I need to give them my router MAC, or my cable modem MAC, or it just won't work at all.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

The only comment I can make is, if at the OBi's location the softphone is working linked to your PC MAC address, that suggests the router and cable modem MAC addresses would not be needed to use the OBi.  There may of course be other issues which prevent the OBi from working.  :(
