Title: Grandstream GXP21XX and OBI202
Post by: anm8tr on March 08, 2014, 02:34:46 PM
Hello,

Does anyone here have a Grandstream IP phone working with an OBI202?

I followed the instructions in this link: http://blog.obihai.com/2012/08/use-your-obi202-as-google-voice-gateway.html

But I'm not having any success.  I do have the OBI202 configured already and it works with my analog phone, but no joy with setting up an IP phone.

I 'm at a loss!  Just curious if I am the only one here testing this configuration. I have 8 IP phones and don't plan on buying Cisco phones to get it working.

Thx for any help!

I'll assume neither inbound nor outbound calls work on your grandstream and that you have already rebooted the devices in your troubleshooting steps.

Try EXT 1/Proxy = <LAN IP of OBI202>:5061

Replace <LAN IP of OBI202> with actual IP.

Good luck.

Hello!

I was so frustrated with the setup that I ended up porting to Anveo. Took less than 5 min. to get it working there.

I will do a test though to see if I can get GV working out of curiosity. I'm an insurance salesman not a telecom tech so this has been an interesting learning curve.

I really appreciate your time!
