Title: How do I setup 2 GV and 2 VOPI providers
Post by: elminakid on April 24, 2011, 12:44:11 PM
I just read from the OBIHAI site that the OBI110 is capable of setting up 2 GV and 2 VOIP providers. Yet the wizzard seems to allow only 1 of each. Can someone be kind enough to walk me through setting 2 GV's and @ VOIP providers.

Thanks

GV is a VoIP service. You can only have 2 VoIP services set in the OBi devices, so here are your options:

-2 GV accounts, or
-2 SIP accounts, or
-1 GV account and 1 SIP account.

If you want more services available you will either need:

-a hosted pbx service, or
-your own switch, like asterisk, or
-more OBi devices to access those VoIP services.

GV SP1+ Sipsorcery SP2 does what you want, 2 GV and 2 or more SIP providers.

How do I set up the second GV and VOIP providers

The answer to your question depends on how you plan on doing that.

Are you going to set up your own phone switch like asterisk?

Are you going to purchase an invite to sipsorcery from eBay so that you can use their hosted switch service?

Or are you just going to get another OBi device?

As I said before you can't do it just with 1 OBi device, you will need to add one of those options to the mix to get the results you desire.

It'd be nice to see if OBi100 devices start to offer support for more then just 2 VoIP providers (at least 4) :)
