Title: obi>obi>call forward to cell?
Post by: andyha on March 28, 2014, 01:47:54 PM
I have an OBI110 with no services as in I have no SIP on either SP1 or SP2.

Can I connect to another OBI that has no services with the speed dial, and if so can that call be forwarded to a cell?

thanks

An OBi can talk to another OBi over the OBiTalk network.

An OBi can talk to a cell phone with a dummy SIP trunk defined on an SPn.
You would have to install a softphone on the cell and register it to a free service like Sip2Sip or Callcentric.

Why would you go thru a 2nd OBi to get to the cell?
You could go directly to the cell with the first OBi.

What do you mean an obi can talk to a cellphone? Talk to it how? You mean use it to make calls?

What he is getting at is calling between the two devices using sip.

Your question doesn't make a lot of sense to me unless one of the Obis is connected to a traditional telephone service.  Is that the case?  Otherwise there is no reason to use 2 Obis for something 1 could accomplish.

The Obion App could also be used.
