Title: Porting from GoogleVoice/Callcentric to Anevo
Post by: Fasttimes on April 15, 2014, 03:53:58 PM
I just provisioned my Obi to use Anevo, and then forwarded my GV to my Anveo number, but I'm not getting caller ID w/Name.

Is that because GV doesnt provide it?

If I port my GV number to Anveo, will I get CNAME?

What plan are you on, that makes a difference.

Check how you have google voice configured.  Make sure under Settings, Calls, CallerId you have it set to display callers info.  Anveo should then use that to pass the caller ID to you and lookup the CNAME for you.  Note, any people you add to your phonebook on Anveo will then use that data rather than lookup the CNAME.

CNAME lookups cost money with Anveo.

As mentioned, it really does matter what plan you're on.

Actually that too depends on the plan. CNAM lookup is included in the ObiTalk Just Right! Plan.
