Title: switched to Phone Power from GV - now I have to dial area code for local calls
Post by: jhbObiForum on May 06, 2014, 05:21:20 AM
I just switched to Phone Power from GV  - now I have to dial area code for local calls.  How can I fix it so that I just dial 7 digits for local calls?

Thanks!

JB

Most ITSP's require that you dial either 10 or 11 digits, however you can configure the Obi to do it for you if you only have a few "local" exchanges. In some large metro areas the list of area codes and / or exchanges might be too long to make it feasible.

Add the following rule to the Primary route DigitMap.
It's usually the ITSP Profile A DigitMap.

<1aaa>xxxxxxx

Where aaa is your local area code.
Rules are separated by a vertical bar.
