Title: British UK style ring on my phones after Phonepower swap
Post by: Rubiostree1200 on May 06, 2014, 10:36:45 AM
Hi,

Just switched over to Phone Power.  My phones now ring UK style....ringing......ringtone.....hello this is a call from Mr. Floyd to Mrs. Floyd.

This is fine but I have these mechanical bells in my old style phone for a hearing impaired family member that no longer work.

Is this a setting with phone power or is it something I can configure in my obi110?

Thanks.

Sounds like you may have installed PhonePower to whatever the alternate SP slot was (probably SP2, when GV was on SP1).  The default ring for SP2 is a double ring (to differentiate), which apparently can be changed in a ringtone profile setting somewhere on the OBi.  That doesn't explain why it might not be ringing your classic phone, though.

In the Expert Configuration mode, see your X_RingProfile for the appropriate SPn (such as SP2) is A. If not I would change it to A. If it is already A, check back for what's is next.

The OBi points to a ring setting here:
Voice Services -> SP1/2 Service:
X_RingProfile
X_DefaultRing

The Default Ring Profile is here:
Ring Settings -> Ring Profile A

Set everything to the default.
