Title: Anveo/obitalk blocking callers?
Post by: rsnyc on May 22, 2014, 12:30:22 PM
Hi,

I signed up for the anveo deal and now a specific caller claims that they never get throught to my phone anymore. They says the line is out service or something along those lines. They have an voip phone (comcast cable company) and they were able to get through when I GV setup. I wonder if anyone else is not getting through. Has this happened to anyone else? Can I add that number somewhere with Anveo? Thanks in advance for any help I can get here.

Same discussion, same problem over here:

I suspect Comcast is using outdated information to try and connect the call.

I got this answer from anveo:

"When the number was ported the actual number remained the same but LRN (Local Routing Number) was changed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_Routing_Number  It looks like Comcast is misrouting calls because they use old LRN number. Eventually they will lookup the new LRN number (in fact they should do lookup for every call ) and will start route calls correctly."

I wonder when this will fix itself...

just wanted to update and close this thread. Anveo contacted comcast on my behalf and fixed the problem.
