Title: 911S0 vs 911S1 dial plan
Post by: cj4331 on June 25, 2014, 12:23:04 PM
So if I understand correctly the short timeout is 2 seconds and 911S0 is the same as 911 in the dial plan--which should then result in a 2 second delay before dialing.  So correct me if I'm wrong the best thing to do for fast 911 response is include 911S1 in my dial plan?

My understanding is not the same as yours.  S0 means an interdigit timer of 0 seconds so will match immediately the 2nd '1' of '911' is received by the Obi.

drgeoff,

I found on page 197 of http://www.obihai.com/docs/OBiDeviceAdminGuide.pdf the following statement:

S, S0, S1, S2, ...S9 - Digit timer of 0, 1, 2, ...,9 seconds respectively; S is equivalent to S1; S0 is the same as "blank".

Before reading this I thought the same thing as you.  Now I'm not sure.
