Title: Port number to VOIP
Post by: dad004 on July 09, 2014, 12:48:52 PM
I ported our number to a cell phone, with the plan to port to Google Voice.  Because of the area we live in, I can't port the number to Google Voice.  Does anyone know of any other VOIP providers that may allow me to port it?

There are many fine providers that will help you port including the ones listed above.

That said I own CircleNet so if you are interested PM me your number or send us an email to sales@circlenet.us and we'll let you know if we can port your number.

Thanks
Sam

Vestalink and Callcentric could not port it.   We live in a 3rd world country.  :)  What is the reason that they can't port it?

I'm afraid you're out of luck then - no VOIP provider is going to be able to port or get new numbers in your area. There are no VOIP CLECs in your area.

Thanks for the information.  That's a bummer.

Try ring.to

Log into Obi dashboard and select ring.to in the preferred providers and there is a check to see if the number can be ported.

Ring.to is Bandwidth.com - they do not have a presence in that rate center.
