Title: Firmware URL for OBi1032 devices
Post by: Xipper on August 21, 2014, 01:49:50 PM
What is the firmware for the OBi1032 devices?  I realize this device is new, however it is clearly a released and shipping product as I have one in hand...but there is no info on here for it.  I accidentally erased the firmware update URL via the phone screen (no confirmation and no revert option?) and resetting to factory default configs does not seem to correct this.

If you would like to keep your OBi updated with the currently available firmware without the need to check and manually upload, you may modify the FirmwareURL parameter of your OBi to check for new firmware periodically.  Here is how to do it:

1. Sign-in to OBiTALK and select your OBi device. This will bring you to the Device Configuration page.
2. At the bottom of the page, select the OBi Expert Configuration button.
3. Go to the System Management -> Auto Provisioning section of the web page.
4. Modify the Auto Firmware Update parameter as follows:

-- Note:  You will need to uncheck both the OBiTALK Settings and Device Default check boxes to make modifications. --

    a. Set Method = Periodically
    b. Select an Interval = a numeric value in seconds, the OBi will wait to check for a new release.
           - Enter 43200 to check twice a day.
    c. Set FirmwareURL = http://www.obihai.com/firmware/OBiPhone-latest.fw

5. Click "Submit" on the bottom of the page.

Though not intended for me, I took this opportunity to enable an every other day check for my little OBi100.
