Title: OBI1000 IP Phones and a land line
Post by: aelumley on October 11, 2014, 06:45:27 AM
I couldn't find anything in the tech specs for these phones on this.

I'd like to know if a land line can be plugged directly into the phone. VOIP via my Samsung Officeserve Softphone has proven to be spotty even with a very stable Internet connection so it would be nice to tie it all together with a VOIP phone and land line all-in-one. I just don't know how or why one of these phones would be more reliable than VOIP via the current softphone or the Google Chat interface.

Thank you,

Looks to be strictly an IP phone. If they ever decided to get the ObiLine adapter working with it, that may change.

Take this with a pinch of salt but it states in the user guide that the OBiLINE will be a future accessory.

As of right now, it is not supported.

Like WelshPaul said the Obiline may become available for the Obi1000 series at some point.  In the meantime an Obi110 can be set up as a gateway to add support for a land line to almost any IP phone or Soft phone.  I have successfully tested that kind of setup in the past.
