Title: no message waiting indication with teksavvy tektalk service
Post by: jfayre on November 16, 2014, 06:20:28 AM
Hello,
I am using an OBI200 with the Tektalk voip service from Teksavvy, Inc. here in Canada.
Everything is working other than message waiting indication.  When I have a voicemail, I am not getting the stutter dial tone when I pick up the phone.

MWI, VMWI options are all turned on in the obi200 configuration. Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with my OBi100.

Seems that VMWI is no longer supported:

Bummer :(

The original poster is talking about message waiting indication for a SIP service provider.  This issue is unrelated to using Google Voice.

jfayre:  MWI needs to be supported by the voicemail server at your service provider (Teksavvy).  Contact them for assistance.
