Title: common features missing
Post by: nmstough on November 21, 2014, 09:08:54 AM
Some standard features seem to be missing in this Obi/Google Voice implementation.

1.  I have two different google voice numbers set up as SP1 and SP2 in the Obi.  But when a call comes in, it is impossible to figure out which Google Voice number is being called.  A distinctive ring would be nice if possible.

2.  When I am on a call and another comes in, I don't get a call waiting indicator so I can flash and add it to the call or at least answer it.

3.  There doesn't seem to be a voicemail indicator, which commonly is given by a flashing light on the telephone apparatus as well as a stutter dial tone.

If I have missed out on how to implement these please let me know.

I remain hopeful that MWI will return to GV. ;D

1. Select a different ring pattern for SP2.
Voice Services -> SP2 service -> X_DefaultRing: (2 thru 10)
Ring patterns are found here: Ring Settings -> Ring Profile A
Ring patterns can be modified.

2. Physical Interfaces -> Phone Port -> CallWaitingEnable: Checked
This is the default, so there may be something else wrong.

3. Voice Services -> SPx service -> MWIEnable: Checked
Like ceg3 indicated, I think GV doesn't support MWI.
In your GV account there is an option under Voicemail for email notification.
