Title: how can I know if my OBi 110 is working or not?
Post by: wey_obi on November 27, 2014, 06:58:40 AM
I have a OBI 110 and it was working well before.
recently it stoped working and it shows "check tel line" on my phone.

I removed the device from OBI setup screen and tried to add device again, but failed.

it has not response when I tried to dial **5 xxxx or tried to dial **9 222 222 222.
network and all the cables are fine.

it seemed my OBi 110 has problem, how can I determine if it is still working or not?

I have reset the device, but no help.

any help would be appreciated very much

My expectation is that the only thing that can prompt that message on your phone is no or low line voltage from the OBi110.  Either a hardware fault in the OBi or its PSU.

What are the OBi's LEDs doing?

Do you hear dial tone when you lift the handset?

My phone is working with Italk BB box, thus I believe it has no problem

for the LED lights:
Power: solid green
Network: flashing in green
phone line: nothing

I just find that the LED on phone is nothing,
I have tried different phones, all the same,

it should be in green, either flashing or solid, right?
anyone can confirm me this please!

I guess it is the problem of OBI box.

The Phone Port LED will only be green when you have a trunk defined and registered on SP1.

The Phone Port LED will only be green when you have a trunk defined and registered on SP1.

The above is only correct if your primary line is SP1.

From the OBihai user guide regarding an off phone LED:
"If the Primary Line is the PSTN LINE, indicates OBiTALK service is not available."

The OBiTalk network is currently down.

That LED is currently off on my OBi110 (with LINE as the primary).  However it will flash if I take the handset off-hook.

Do you hear anything when you lift the handset?
