Title: Obi1032 compatible with Avaya System?
Post by: MrAndroid on December 17, 2014, 12:17:08 AM
Hello everyone!

I'm not new to obitalk devices, but this question is out of my current scope of knowledge.  I was wondering if the obi1032 is compatible to be used as a handset for an Avaya phone system?

I have an avaya ip phone which i use for work to connect to the phone system at the main office across the US.  Its only for the office lines though, including voicemail, park, conf, etc..  I also have my own business line (google voice) and if possible i'd like to have them both be on the same phone.  I know that Obi handles the google voice line easily enough, but I am not aware if it could connect to the Avaya IP PBX as an extension like the avaya phone does.

Any help on this?

Thanks!

It looks like it should work with it.  The company says they support SIP signaling.  It's difficult to say whether advanced features would.  I don't know enough about their system.  Personally I would contact avaya directly.

Have you posted the question on their forum?
