Title: OBi110 Setup POTS/911 routing
Post by: russws on December 24, 2014, 10:33:27 AM
Setting up a Obi110 for my folks. They have a landline at their facility. I am not there and don't have a landline to test things out, and the user manual is unclear to me. I have set up other Obi's just not the 110 landline.

I have set up Google Voice on line 1. I need to make sure that GV is the default outgoing, what the * code is for the landline, and if 911 indeed defaults to the landline.

If there is an easier guide to this than the Device Administration Guide, that would help.

The POTS/PSTN line is the Primary/default outbound line for an OBi110.

To make GV the Primary line, change the following:
Physical Interfaces -> Phone Port -> Primary line: SP1 Service

911 always defaults to the PSTN Line on an OBi110.

Here is a tutorial:

Otherwise, you are stuck with the Admin Guide.

Use prefix **8 to route calls to the PSTN Line.
If you want to play with the configuration you can do some or all of the following WITHOUT a prefix.
Route to PSTN:
7 digit numbers
10 digit numbers
Specific area codes
