I am setting up a new obi110 where the network admins have a whitelist of websites that we are allowed to goto.
question is what websites does the obi110 device need to access??
as of now:
1. I cannot access the echo test server
2. I cannot add an obi device in the obitalk dashboard
That is difficult to answer but any network administrator worth his salt should be capable of running Wireshark to see where the OBi is trying to reach.
There will be several places. Some for Obihai and others for the Service Providers you use.
Correct you could sniff the websites/IP's
but I dont have direct access to their network and does this all via remote administration
Wireshark showed the following addresses when I called the Echo Test:
207.135.80.140
54.67.107.54
The following when I dialed **51111
54.241.160.4
54.67.107.54

Normally I would prefer to enter URLs rather than dotted quads into a whitelist as the quads could change. So I did a lookup on the above quads.
207.135.80.140 is obihai-140.lct.gvad.net
54.241.160.4 is ec2-54-241-160-4.us-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com
54.67.107.54 is ec2-54-67-107-54.us-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com
I do wonder if any of these are URLs are permanently in the firmware. Maybe the first one?
