Title: How to put a call on hold?
Post by: ProfTech on May 25, 2011, 03:17:21 PM
I realize that by the nature of using an analog phone it might be a little tricky to put a call on hold. I am using a good quality ATT phone that does have a "hold" button but all it does is keep the line open. The Obi never knows you pressed it. The person on the other end of the call hears COMPLETE silence and usually hangs up thinking the call has dropped. I saw in the forum where the Obi is supposed to have some sort of "holding tone". If I use the flash button instead and then hang up the phone, I get the periodic "ring" of my phone signalling me that I have a call on "hold". I can live with that, but as far as I can tell the other end still doesn't hear anything. Is this a bug?
