Title: Yate client>Obi110>PSTN
Post by: Rand0mUs3rNamE on February 20, 2015, 10:44:59 AM
Looking for a simple tutorial on this. No other components in the system, just one Windows PC with Yate client installed, and Obi110 plugged into a PSTN line. I just want to make and receive calls and find the array of tutorials on everything other than that quite dizzying.

I'm able to get to the web interface and the status page shows this after a firmware update:

HardwareVersion   3.4   help
SoftwareVersion   1.3.0 (Build: 2872)

Yate version is 5.4.0

Help?

I'm having trouble thinking of good reasons why you want to use a softphone and a PC instead of buying a $5 phone and plugging it in to the OBi110.

I don't think you can use the Yate Client with an OBi110.
The softphone you use to connect to the OBi110 must be able to call without registration.
I don't know how to setup the Yate Client without registration.
I tried setting the Registration Interval to zero, but it still tried to register.

I use the Phonerlite softphone from Windows to access an OBi ATA and already have instructions.
Are you interested?
Your requirements are to make and receive calls to/from PSTN?
What dial formats do you want?
7, 10 and 11 digits?
International
911

or

Just send anything dialed out PSTN?

Edit:
Do you have any SP trunks defined on the OBi110?
